Dingo Seat Covers

Old D-Ring System Fitting Instructions

This was our previous retention system for seat covers. We've changed to a buckle system.

For customers who purchased seats with the old-style "D-Ring" and velcro attachment system, we offer a special upgrade deal to improve your existing dingo seat cover to use the new buckle system.

Fitting Details Diagram

STEP 1

Refer to A: Re-fit headrest. Adjust headrest to correct height now, as some adjusting catches are difficult to release with the seat cover tensioned up.

Refer to B: Slip over squab front, do not cover up slide adjusting knob. (So far Nissan Patrol GQ and GU and Toyota Landcruiser 75, 78/79, 80 and 100 Series have plastic hooks that hook up under the front).

Refer to C: Feed straps through gap between backrest and squab.

STEP 2

Pull straps through. Check - sides of seat cover are not tucked in. Check - tensioning D rings, top back of the headrest, are not tucked up. Wiggle straps from side to side, checking that the canvas flap attached to them has not scrunched up. It is very important that there is longitudinal tension along the cushion. This prevents uncomfortable wrinkles under your butt. The backrest is not so important, so pull the straps tightly backwards (not upwards). This should settle the cover into place. If it has not, one of us has goofed (not me, boss's got sharp teeth).

STEP 3

Slip the straps through the D Rings (Only for CAT covers - straps cross over) and tension, contact the Velcro hooks to the Velcro loops found on the underside of the straps. The join between the two Velcro strips should be at the tensioning D rings unless one of us has goofed again.

N.B: Over time and washes the join will move slightly past the D rings.

The only fitting problems we have had came from insufficient tensioning.
